I have an Onn 4k Pro 2026 and every time I turn on Surfshark VPN it chokes my download speed from about 260Mbps to 33Mbps. I have read other threads here that say to take the VPN protocol off Auto and manually select Wireguard. That didn’t work. The ethernet port is limited to 100meg so I switched to Wifi as suggested and that increased the overall speed dramatically but as soon as I turn on Surfshark it chokes off the speed again. I have tried different servers to no avail. I really don’t know what to do here. Right now I am not a Surfshark fan. Funny thing is my PC was having the same issue and when I switched off the Auto Protocol on Surfshark and set it to Wireguard the speed was where it should be but not on the Onn box. ---
