What’s next? Are they going to remove any web browser capable of downloading anything that could be used to violate copyright law? Whoever is operating the Google Play Store doesn’t seem like an intelligent person.

I think its a poor app

You think stremio is a poor app?

Which app exactly, are you referring to?

As of 1/11/2026, it has also been removed from the FireTV Appstore once again!

Guess only those of us who heeded Troy’s advice to lockout Amazon updates from our FireTVs are lucky enough to still sideload it! Those who hesitated are now lost, since Amazon The Almighty has since locked out the ability to prevent updates.

KODI user here. I don’t use Stremio but just checked the Troypoint Toolbox and it is in there for anyone that wants to download and install it

Stremio is built for America,I want European tv

Stremio can be used anywhere in the world, as it is available on multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS, and allows you to stream content across devices globally.

However, access to certain add-ons or content may be restricted by region due to geo-blocking or local laws. For example:

  • Stremio is officially supported in many countries, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany, and others, as confirmed by the Stremio Supported Regions List.

  • Some countries, like India and Bangladesh, have Google Play restrictions for Stremio, meaning it may not be available through the official store in those regions.

  • Third-party add-ons (e.g., from The Pirate Bay or RARBG) may be blocked in certain countries or trigger ISP throttling.

To use Stremio safely and access region-locked content while traveling:

  • Use a reliable VPN (like NordVPN) to mask your location and protect your privacy.
