I’m enquiring about subscribing to the HBO Max service as someone who lives in the UK, and so would need to register a prepaid debit card.
Having checked the Troypoint article on StatesCard, I can see that it’s pricier than I was hoping it to be, especially as I wanted to choose the 12 month Black Friday deal subscription which comes in at $2.99 per month currently, as opposed to $10.99.
In light of this, can someone point me in the direction of a prepaid card that is more cost effective than it is to register with StatesCard over a 12 month period?
Thank you for your response. It’s much appreciated.
I’m sorry to say, but I don’t follow your explanation, so I’ll clarify further what it was that I wanted some advice on.
The HBO Black Friday subscription is discounted at $2.99 per month for the first 12 months, before it reverts back to its current monthly cost of $10.99.
For the whole of that time, I would need to have a payment method which has me “residing” in the US, and which also allows me to pay the $2.99 on a monthly basis.
The StatesCard covers all the bases in terms of these requirements, apart from the stumbling block of being very pricey, especially when you take into consideration the initial $16.99 registration fee plus the $3.95 monthly fee over the 12 months that I’d have the subscription with HBO for.
Hence my predicament as, instead of paying just the $35.88 for a whole year’s worth of HBO’s streaming service, I’d need to pay a further $48.68 due to the fees that I’d have to pay to StatesCard.
As a result of my reluctance to pay the extra amount for the privilege of using StatesCard, I thought that I’d ask if there are other alternatives to this payment method, or whether or not there’s a decent competitor out there who beats them on price?
I would have to agree, it may be better to set up something you can watch the same content and more, real debrid is probably around the same cost and you can add it to so many apps to help with content. Flix Vision, Cinema HS and Cinema HQ BeeTV, I have it on Debrid Stream, Weyd, Syncler as well as Kodi and Stremio.
Down sides are for some people this form of accessing content may be against their views, and also if you travel, Real Debrid can only be accessed from one IP address at a time.
