yep, re-installing has nothing to do. Its the ip stream
OK so I need to try a VPN I guess. I already have Norton on my phone account so I can just maybe use that. If not what would you recommend for a VPN because I really want to watch my freaking games! Lol BTW, thank you for stepping away from your game to help me.
give it a try, might buffer with the slow speed, but you might get lucky
Gotcha… thank you so much for your help.
The VPN worked I went with surf shark after I couldn’t get my Norton, VPN to translate to the Firestick.
I have Sportsfire loaded on my Firetv 4k. In my first effort, I found a college football game I wanted to watch. The picture was jerky, blurry, and froze for 2 seconds at times. Is this considered normal? Is there some sort of setting that can be adjusted? Thanks in advance.
i use sportsfire a lot and have none of those problems in uk
I also have no problems here in Canada using a VPN with a US server. My download speeds are 145-165, depending on the time of day and I’ve spent a considerable amount of time testing and optimizing my WiFi signal. The best change I made was using an analyzer app, finding what channel I was on in the modem/router and changing it to one that noone else was on in the 5G band. I also replaced all existing cables that my ISP provided, with ones I knew to be a top brand name and were new.
miki what app did you use?
Oh sorry I should have mentioned that. Give me a minute and I’ll find a link for everyone. It’s in the google playstore. Wifi Analyzer by Farproc. It’s an older app that I’ve used to help my customers with getting the most stable channel and to locate dead zones. 2018 it first came out.
Hi, this is not an alternative for all the suggestions you have recieved, but I always keep a back up for my sports. I have alternatives for all my cord-cutting needs (tv and movies, live tv, and sports.) For sports, sportsfire and thetvapp are my backups for The Loop (Kodi). With a back-up you can enjoy your games and fiddle with your primary source later.
@Tico259 that’s an excellent idea for everyone. Most here never rely on just one app or option. Always good to be prepared for the " you never know" scenario.
Have fun and STREAM ON!!!
I also have the same exact problem that Inventordude had. I have Surfshark installed and the constant buffering and trying to reconnect got so bad I just gave up watching the NFL game. Should I try the suggestion of switching servers? Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Thanks for the info @Miki, now how do you change your channel for the given device, or is that something I should just Google.?
You access your modem by entering it’s IP Address and then the password. Most are on a label on the bottom of the unit.
