Updating Shield to 9.0.2 (for me) required patience. After the download it takes several minutes after for everything to load. Apps such as Smart Tube may not load, however, opening YouTube official app took several minutes to load, which fixed Smart Tube. Some apps included in Nord’s Trusted Apps (Split tunneling) where removed from status. Once included in Trusted Apps again worked fine. Many YouTube channels report similar problems, while some report Zero probs. 2017 model Shields seem to have no probs while 2019 Shields experience higher instances of probs.
POINT - after you update, patience may be required and check the status of VPN settings and give your apps time to load following the update!
