Real Debrid + IPTV Smarters

Is there a guide or discussion on if you can use debrid in IPTV Smarters? I’m not even sure what debrid is and how it works. I can honestly say I am trying my best to learn and not bother anyone.

Thank you

I don’t know much but I THINK you need an IPTV subscription “playlist” to plug into IPTV Smarters to get content. Debrid services are for KODI, Stremio, Nuvio etc.

If you already have a debrid service, use one the apps noted below.

AI Overview

Yes, you can use a

debrid service (like Real-Debrid) with certain IPTV players, but generally not directly within the standard IPTV Smarters Pro app, which is designed for M3U/Xtream Codes playlists. Instead, you can use advanced IPTV players like Chillio IPTV or IPTV+ 2.0, which support Real-Debrid for enhancing VOD content, or use apps like Stremio for a similar, more integrated experience.

How It Works:

  • Alternative Players: Apps like Chillio allow integrating Real-Debrid directly into the player for better VOD sources.
  • Integration: Debrid services work best with third-party apps to fetch high-quality, cached torrent links, significantly reducing buffering.
  • Benefits: Using Real-Debrid ensures better 4K links, faster streaming speeds, and fewer broken links for movies and TV series.
  • Alternative Setup: Many users prefer Stremio with the Torrentio add-on for a more integrated experience.

Important Considerations:

  • IP Restrictions: Real-Debrid monitors IP addresses to prevent account sharing, so it is recommended to use it on a single, secure network.
  • IPTV Smarters vs. Players: While IPTV Smarters is popular for live TV, it is primarily a player for IPTV service provider links rather than a debrid-integrated app.
  • Alternatives: Consider Stremio, CinemaHD, or TiviMate for better integration of debrid services.

Thank you for the info.

@BigC64 My answer was lame but it gets you started I hope. Others will chime in. Do you have debrid already and are you trying to watch live TV or movies/series?

I don’t have debrid yet, but every thing I’ve read here sounds good.

mainly watching live tv, but I love a strong movie and series section.

IPTV Smarters is an “IPTV provider” that you pay for content to watch… “Smarters Pro” is a free “IPTV Player”, that you use to watch IPTV that you have paid for….Smarters Pro is in the Troy Point ToolBox….

For what it’s worth, I’ll chime in. Years ago I was in your similar situation, probably wanting to spend a lot less than what Comcast cable was charging me, and also have access to movies, etc. What I learned the MOST from was this site - Troypoint.com. Troy has been the best there is at simplifying what is and can be a very complicated arena of electronics/technology. His videos are the best. Keep learning! I promise it will start to make some sense. GraceWilson’s answer was correct. You don’t need debrid services for everything, but for some it is essential.

For me, I have settled on 3 main types of service - it may sound a like a lot but I’m still paying more than half of what I was paying for cable, mainly because my wife is adamant on having the simple interface with YouTube TV. She can understand it, and it is 99% reliable in it working everytime. After spending a couple of years on Kodi, and several other services to try to get consistently positive results with access to movies and TV series, I’ve become a believer in the Syncler+ app. Once you have it configured (use Troy’s video), it has been my go-to for several years now. It does require debrid services and I use Premiumize.

I live in TN now, after living in the Chicago area. I still want to get all the local Chicago sports broadcasts so I need an IPTV service for that (I just wish YouTube TV would allow you to pick what region/area you wanted to). An IPTV service lets you pick any TV broadcast area, even around the world! But these services are still a little difficult to use, and often require updates to work. You’ll get a lot of help with these services here on Troypoint, as I still seem to be in the novice level with the IPTV services. Good Luck with everything.

@tobasco27, “But these services are still a little difficult to use, and often require updates to work.”

while the first half of your statement is somewhat true, it is not a hard fast rule-once you find the service that has what you are wanting to watch, at a reasonable price, AND is reliable’ –they are out there :crossed_fingers: ….then the difficult part is over….as far as the second part, everything about this hobbie of ours requires regular updates to function correctly, it can change fast and often, so ya gotta keep up, but it does become routine after a short time, and well worth the $$$$ savings…. and Good Luck to you….:+1:
