Are there any profanity filters for these stand-alone apks?
If there is they are in the app settings, however it wont bleep out words or something in a show. I dont think this is possible, but doesn’t hurt to look.

At best those apps may have a parental control/adult content toggle in their settings. Profanity and pornography have become mainstream and piped right into your living room.
We’ve come a long way since 1939 and it all ain’t good.

There are things out there that do this, but I don’t think it really works in the unverified, cord cutting world. Something like this: TVGuardian Requirements and Limitations - TVGuardian
…only works with a tuner, so regular OTA TV and maybe some DVD players should work but things like Prime Video, Netflix, IPTV, streaming apks, etc, wouldn’t work.
I believe if someone were to create something like a profanity filter, they would be sitting on a heap of gold. Not much you could do about porn scenes, but this thing would be a game changer (my opinion).
