Is there an accessory I can purchase to have my tv usb power Onn tv box? Thank you.

USB or HDMI?
Short answer: It would depend on the tv hook up.
My tv can turn on my onn when I select it from the source options. The Samsung remote works with the onn but not great so I switch to the onn remote.
My Onn remote however can turn my tv on so I usually just grab that remote if I know I will use the onn right away.
Hope that helps a little.
@JPM69 I think that the OP was asking about using the TV’s USB port as a power supply for the ONN box.
The answer is theoretically the USB cord that comes with the ONN box can be connected between the TV port and the ONN device for power. The real answer is that in many cases, the TV’s port is underpowered for reliable operation.
That’s correct. If you’re using the USB cable that was supplied with the Onn device and it isn’t powering the device on from the TVs USB port, then the power output from the USB port isn’t enough.
My question is, why do you want to use the TV USB port instead of just using the wall charger that should have been supplied with it? Is it because you want to hide cables? Or don’t have enough outlets? You can always zip tie a small power strip to the back of the TV.
Ahh yes. I forgot about that option. I tried that on the Firestick in my beginner stages of streaming many years ago. As @Jayhawks659 points out it didnt have enough power and powered off unexpectedly so it was short-lived.
USB power can cause the device to over heat if not correct .
Most (all?) of the Onn streaming devices come with a captive power lead to a small wall wort so there’s no USB plug on the other end.
I do not have access to electrical outlet, thus reason for post.
What’s the TV plugged into?
the solar array .. likes only day time tv..lol
If you have a Firestik power cord it will fit on certain onn boxes check it out that’s what I’m using on my first Onn box
Yes, any micro-USB (box, 4k, stick) or USB-C (4k Plus) to USB-A cable will fit both ends. Then it just depends on the ability of the TV to provide enough power for the Onn device.
