so with nordvpn running its 72m down and 26m up…still pretty good numbers, and my T-mo internet device usually is at 3 bars, every once in a while it will get 4 bars, and i’ve never seen it get all 5 bars
I actually bought the stick just to test it out and it sucks. It’s laggy and has subpar specs compared to the box. I ended up giving it away as a bonus with a smoker that I sold on Craig’s list ![]()
Not sure which one you are talking about the onn or tivo4k and yes Ive found them both to be ok as a starter box, esp the onn but the tivo aint much better. They are imho…get yer feet wet boxes
… and we all know streaming boxes is a disease which leads us onward through the fog

Hey I actually installed an emby server on a onn box just because I could
… it worked…barely on my lan but I didnt leave it cause I figured the little box was so stressed out ![]()
It’s all about breaking barriers ![]()

you can daisy chain them for a super streamer ![]()
No way. Those boxes are money makers waiting to happen ![]()

When I started with this madness the ONN wasn’t available so I actually started with FS and moved to TiVo Stream 4K and it really got my feet wet which made me want more, bigger & better. The ONN can’t be beat for someone starting this hobby. Especially expanding internal storage. The price point makes it feasible for someone to test and see if this is something that they would enjoy doing
I’ve screamed love tv on the onn box for full days at a time and it’s left me with enough confidence to sell around town . None of my customers ever complained about the boxes performance. This allows me to sell boxes here in town at a budget price while giving me a good return

That’s perfect because the majority sound like starters in this. Do you expand memory for them or leave stock?
I do the same with the 4K Max. Programming new customers daily and now spreading out into commercial venues. This is why I chose the Max as you need a damn good picture and good specs for the public, as well as a reasonable cost. Saves me from being bored in my retirement.
No I leave it stock and let them know that the device it meant for streaming as is and that there’s no reason to alter , add or remove content and that they are responsible for any alterations. The people I sell it to are not techies . I tell them that if they are looking for a device to sit around and download that this is not the device for that. Also let them know that streaming content is not illegal however downloading it is and that they will get caught. I only had an issue once where someone played around with the box and ended up doing a factory reset thinking it would go back to my customization
she pretended that something wrong with the box and she don’t know what happened. I got the box back from her and realized what she did . It was back on the original launch screen and developer options were not enabled. Busted
lucky it’s a friend of mine so I just swapped her box out for her.
AKA “Dream Job” LMAO. That’s good stuff what you do
People are happy, they are saving a minimum of $100 a month with my devices . I’m using the onn box because it helps keep the price low and customers end up buying 1 for each tv. Almost never set up a household with just 1 .![]()
