Try signing in with a Google account, it automatically added my apps. Also, disconnect your VPN before signing in. Hope this helps
you have to set up the vpn on a router with usa location on it to get the onn box to work for you . you only need to do that for the install from scratch
walmart has solved the problem for canadians as they just released a canadaian version of the onn 4k pro streaming box for 75 canadain this week. now there no need to use a vpn to get the box working . but make sure you go to the really big walmart super stores to get one as the regular walmart super store does not have them yet.

Loonies and Toonies..i remember them when i was in Montreal for a bachelor party many many years ago. Sigh.. lol
A Loonie is a $1 canadian dollar coin and a Toonie (or Twonie?) is a $2 canadian dollar coin. No idea how it got its name.

The loonie got it’s name from the fact it had a loon on one side. So the twonie just sorta followed. 
Don’t forget it’s around -50°c here in winter so we have to find ways to amuse ourselves. That’s why I am always amused by @PapaS

loonie got the name because it has a loon bird on it and when the two dollarcoin came out we just called it a twonnie because we already has the loonie lol
from what i been told you have to go to the large walmart super stores to get one , i went to the upper james store in hamilton first but they never heard of them and decided to take a chance on the rumal road store cause it was a way bigger store and went to the electronic department and there it was buy the til so i bought two of them , one for living room and one for bedroom.by the way they are made for canada only as they have the canadian apps on the box. so if you live in a city that got a very big super centre walmart it should be there, upper james walmart is the medium size walmart store

I actually have 2 4k’s and one Pro. Yes, there are Huge walmarts around here. Now here is the question, I wonder if they changed the OS in it because if i run mine on a USA VPN and I always do, I get stations, music, Google free play, complete differnent menu up top. If I change to a CDN server, it disappears so it’s a dynamic OS literally changing the interface based in its perceived location. Try setting it to a USA server and see if you get that. It would be nice unless they crippled it.

its the same os as the usa one just canada locked i think.i use an usa google account on it to download usa apps and usa vpn to get them to work.when it starts up it gives you the choice os what country you are in just like any other google tv streaming device
Ok, I did not mean that and I was not talking about setup. If the USA Os, the Home screen menu, upper left corner changes when you’re on a USA server. You get a full tv / music listening screen that is quite different than when on a CDN server, when you may have it and it will say something like Pluto Trending. You get live USA tv stations of course , you get Stringray Music, You will see the Google Freeplay app. There will be four, not five categories on your top menu screen, left to right, For you, Live, Apps and LIbrary. Trust me if you get the Amercian screen, you will know it. Give it a shot.
