NVIDIA SHIELD Buffering

My son has two Shield boxes, a new Pro model and an older 2017 standard model. The Pro is hook to a Samsung Frame TV, the other to a older Samsung in his bedroom. Same router, both on Ethernet and a 1G download.
The Frame/Pro TV runs perfectly, the Older setup buffers.

Is there a difference in the original Shield over the new Pro that would cause the buffering or could it be the TV.

I’m going over on the weekend to check it out, but am not familiar with the changes in the new shield.

By chance, is a splitter being used to connect the Ethernet cable to the router or do each of the devices have a dedicated Ethernet cable connected to the router?

I don’t believe so, I’ll check. I thought he had the place pre-wired before he moved in.
