Not sure what apps you are using but ones like Nuvio or Stremio and even Kodi are not particularly good for live TV. For that you need an IPTV service and we only can suggest legal or free IPTV. As far as older programs you would have to to some searching to find an addon that specializes in those or even an app. I recommend watching Troy’s Master Vid for Nuvio which will help educate you in this hobby and will definately help you along in this journey. I would also suggest doing a search for the TiViglass IPTV player which definately has the ability to record and is an excellent player that is constantly evolving and improving.
