I was trying to split a USB stick into both internal and external storage. No Go on that.
Ideas? or just wait for a fix?
I have the old box, but I’m assuming that what I’m going to say is valid for the new ones, also.
When adding the storage it’s refered to as ‘adoptable storage’ in that the added storage is integrated completely with the ONN box. That means that when you add an app or record a program, it will automatically be stored onto the stick. If you need an added app to be operated from the box’s stotage it’s easy to move it there. The downside is that, AFAIK, there’s not a way to use that thumb drive to store and play content that you may have recorded in your computer. You can, however, use another drive for that purpose. As long as the media player (VLC, MX Pro, Kodi, Etc) is on the internal storage, you can replace ‘expanded storage stick’ with the ‘media stick’ and the media wil play just fine.
