Just plugged in brand new firestick. chose english as the primary language. next was checking for updates, it came back saying “unable to update your fire tv stick”.
I disconnected the stick from power source retried and came back with same message.

Was starting to follow the tutorial from troypoint and didnt even get started really.
let me rephrase. the second step after primary language is scanning for networks. gives me no list to choose a network. scans for 1-2 seconds and then jumps to checking for updates and unable to update your fire tv stick.
