Our history started with my older daughter with stage 3 colon cancer at the age of 13, not a typo, followed by round 2 at the age of 23 where the remainder of her colon was removed & age 39 where a small section of her small intestine removed. Younger daughter had her colon bout (stage 1 fortunately) at the age 38. My youngest brother, also stage 1 at age 67. Unbeknownst to us when we married (or anyone in the world for that matter) both of us carry different versions of a genetic condition called Lynch syndrome. My older daughter drew the short straw.
OMG @elginherd that is such bad news. Please be well and stay safe I know it’s tough and I admire your families strength. My wife has lost all her sisters to cancer and me my brother. She has survived Colon Cancer and I have survived a terminal illness diagnosis, Scleroderma Morphia, for 5 years that turned out to be a misdiagnosis by our Provincial laboratory. Hard living for 5 yrs thinking you could die any minute. My shin was raw meat that whole time and itchy like a mofo. Then a Dr. rediagnosed it and fixed my shin in just 6 weeks. 5 yrs of stress wears ya down.
have only watched one episode so far but like might be pretty good The Gray House - Based on a true story, the series is about a Union-aligned woman-led network of spies led by Elizabeth Van Lew in Richmond, Virginia during the American Civil War. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt22376294/ I know not everyone is from the US but true stuff usually grabs my attention
Marshals YES, I tried Salt Marsh and got bored and bailed. I’m watching A Place To Call Home recommended by @Reece and I like it. 8 seasons so I may be dead before I finish but I’ll mix in other shows along the way.
