Mine worked well on 12 but when it forced 14 it quit, I used TV quick actions pro and set up a mouse in it for the star button.
Thanks Dave I will take a peek at it. It definitely is 14 that is breaking the permissions setup. I gened 2 new boxes last night and both auto installed 14. It blocks the permissions “enable” option from being turned on.
Are you using Projectivy or probably any launcher other than the regular google one? It did the same thing, fortunately I had mine set up before the update.
I’m using the standard launcher, The new problem is the latest GoogleTV update breaks the Add-on process in Kodi and it crashes. I’m on my 2nd factory reset to try and fix it.
Not sure I understand how it can affect something in the app. Have you tried updating Kodi? I have not used Kodi in a while, to many other options. But I just opened mine and it still works as it did.
The original problem, after Android 14 is installed you can no longer set the MATVT permissions is well known and now the least of the problems. GoogleTV has created an update which includes a “Free” option in the top menu. That update causes a disruption in Kodi when you place the cursor on the Add-ons option. Kodi goes out to verify and load the Add-ons and something in that code causes Kodi to crash. It is a known issue now and I have posted my step by step findings in the Kodi Community Forum. I am not a developer so I don’t have access to step through the code to determine the exact issue. I have done 2 factory resets but Google is forcing the update so Kodi keeps failing. I tried to install Kodi v22.0 Alpha1 which supposedly does NOT have the issue but it failed during the install on my box. My other 4 boxes (1 KM7 and 3 ONN) have not gotten the GoogleTV update and are still working fine with v21.2.
