So I just updated the FireTV OS on my Firestick 4K Max and noticed that some stuff that had been disabled in the TDUK unified debloat tool is once again active and can no longer be disabled. For example any (Breaks Prime Video) can’t be checked, client.metrics , crashmanager and logmanager , device.sync and sync.sdk.internal to name a few. I feel the noose tightening. omg I can’t even turn off Amazon shopping any more. Also ate up another .14 GBs of space.
So picture me sitting cross legged on the floor meditating and going " onnnnnn" “onnnnnn”
Damn that felt good.
This is why i have a zillion android boxes! Never disappointed.
I didnt even bother with my max. I stopped it from playing stuff in the background inlcuding movie previews and such. Unplug at night and works fine.
Sorry for you debloat users. I get it, i like the devices but its just to locked and bloatware. My wife has lots of paid stuff for her and my son so it works great with that.
Ya I have all the ad stuff disabled along with autoplay. I am just undoing debloater settings, redoing and updating to see what changes. None of the updates have seriously impacted my Max so far and there is some still useful settings in the unified debloat toolbox, but not many anymore. My major problem is the lack of good devices here in Mexico. Sure I can have them delivered by courier but just an envelope from Canada cost me $50/cdn via DSL, so things like a cheap onn ain’t cheap any more.
But seriously, it looks like there are a lot of Walmex’s in Mexico, maybe they don’t stock the Onn??
" Walmart de México y Centroamérica, also known as Walmex, is the Mexican and Central AmericanWalmart division. Sorry I’m at a loss to understand what you are referring to or saying? Before the update you were able to disable Amazon Shopping and remove the icon in the Manage All Apps list. Now Amazon, after this latest update, has made it a protected module and you can’t remove it.
