Ipvanish shady operation

Whenever I sign-up for auto-renewal on any item, I always enter the information to repeat monthly on my daily calendar. At any time I’m not pleased, I immediately delete the auto-renewal and let the subscription end at the end of its term.

I always use PayPal so they could not do this to me. I also switched to SURFSHARK a year ago. Cancelled PayPal subscription for Ipvanish. No problems other than they keep sending me promotions as if I still subscribe.

I have not scanned all the previous responses but I suggest you notify your CC company and dispute the charge. Include in your issue statement you canceled the account a year ago and challenged the new charge but were told the BS about the policy. Your CC company will then reach out to the IPVanish folks and either get your refund or they will credit you and block them. Good luck.

If it’s attached to your debit card/credit card, if you go into the settings of you bank app, under security there should be a third party access option with a list of things attached to your debit card. You can remove them so they can’t get access. I know my Schwab account has this option.

Reading all these posts got me thinking, so I checked and I was unable to shut off Autopay on the IPVanish account site. Strange that they don’t give you an option to turn that off or even cancel the account from the site. Thankfully someone here identified that it can be canceled in PayPal. So glad this group exists!!! Thank you!!!

Okay guys and gals, they put the word out how to cancel the renew, gave the instructions, now hold them accountable for it.

Contact your credit card provider and file a claim. They will get it handled for you
