IPVANISH has had issues with stay on as many users have posted. Alot of good feedback. Split tunneling seems to be the answer for me. Also, by reading, for most others.
For what it’s worth, I changed back to Wireguard from OpenVPN, and it seems to operate ok and goes a bit faster. As long as it stays working, I think I’ll keep the Wireguard.

Howdy, I switched back to Wireguard instead of OpenVPN and it seems to be working ok and a bit faster. Time will tell. Bottom line, seems to be: IPVanish did an update not long ago and whatever they did, wasn’t compatible with the Amazon operating system. That’s why split tunneling seems to work because it allows you to use the Amazon operating system without IPVanish even looking at it. Don’t know if Fire Cube is subject to the same programs but you might want to give it a try. Just remember to NOT checkmark the boxes that you want the VPN to hide with IPVanish, like your Kodi apps, Silk, 3rd party apps that you installed, etc. The 3 dots at the top of the Split Tunneling screen will check mark everything and you just need to go in and uncheck the boxes that you want the VPN to protect. Unchecked = yes to VPN… Checkmark = no to VPN. Your phone and computer don’t use the Amazon Firestick operating system so they more than likely aren’t being affected by the update. I used to be a computer programmer way back, so sometimes I use the terminology, programs and apps, interchangeably. In essence, apps = applications which = program code…lol. Hope I didn’t overwhelm you.

I switched to WiFi, Open VPN, UTP – 443 port and so far I’ve watched two shows 1:35 minutes with no issues. When I ran Wireguard, it crashed almost immediately when opening KODI. I did as advised and sent IpVanish the crash logs and explained the issues so I’m hoping for a reply.
