Strong 8K
So, like if we’re looking at publically sold services. I would actually look to like Dream4k or Trex. But Strong is fine. Dream tends to punch just a little higher though on US content.
I have Strong 8K from Amber with US, UK, Canada and all sports. Please tell me what US content Dream4K is going to give me that Strong does not have? What do you mean by “punch just a little bit higher”?
They’re going to have roughly the same content no matter the service. However, Eagle4k/Dream4k are going to deliver on better streams with an overall higher bitrate. It’s US 60 FPS catagory, and it’s UK 50 are mostly of a quality that you expect from White label/private services. (A lot of my streams my earlier mentioned in another thread dispatcharr abomination get sourced out of that catagory.)
That said, if you need international content I would say strong. But in your listed use case specific I would see if Amber has dream next time it’s time to reup on your backup you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I get tons of FHD 60FPS in Strong 8K multiple channels of the same streams especially with Sports on US Channels
Oh, sure you have. Over the last year Strong has upgraded it’s streams and brought in a lot more FHD. I would be more surprised if it didn’t. Dream is still doing US/UK content a bit better though. Even though other services have started to catch up it’s still ahead with a fair lead especially when it comes to bit-rates. ![]()
Like I said in the last post. When your sub is up for Strong you should get a trial and check her out. ![]()
You can ask Amber to delete countries you never use… And add on the Adult channel…
Yes I know and i did that. I have US, UK, and Canada and have about 17,000 channels. But since I mostly utilize my favorites it’s only about 30-50 channels to manage
One of those older guys here who can remember when all we had were 3 channels plus one crappy PBS station to choose from, so a gripe about having to pick from “more than 15,000 channels” seems funny to me…and I understand completely!
@SRS829 ,I guess we were lucky because we had 2 independent channels to go with the 4 you mentioned. Non stop Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, Old black and white movies and Sha Na Na. When cable finally came through we were so excited to have a few dozen channels… and still nothing good was on.
Not to mention having to climb 3,000 feet up mountain after storms to fix broken lines or turn antenna to get those 3 channels and KET .
