Hi everyone. I’m Amr, and for the past year I’ve been building an IPTV player in my spare
time. It started with a small frustration: I’d stop a series on the TV box, pick up the phone
later, and have to find the episode again. From there it grew into the player I actually wanted
to use every day.
This week it landed on Google Play. Before anything else: it’s a player only. No channels, no
links, nothing bundled. You bring your own IPTV subscription (Xtream).
What I focused on
Your account follows you around. Phone, tablet, Android TV box, same playlists, same
profiles, and Continue Watching works across all of them, down to the next episode being
ready when you come back.
Metadata that understands your playlist. Titles are matched to TMDB in your language, and
the different copies of the same movie your provider lists are folded into one card, so
browsing feels like one library instead of a duplicate-filled list.
Hover over a poster, or rest on it with the remote, and you get a preview with the trailer, the
plot and the rating before you commit. While something plays, the next episode and related
titles sit one press away, and the home screen has a Recommended row built from what
you’ve liked and watched, not a generic top list.
A football hub, because my friends and I watch matches more than movies: fixtures, live
scores, lineups, and a live match opens the channel that carries it.
Family profiles with PINs and a kids mode, Trakt sync, subtitles, and an incognito mode that
keeps no history while it’s on. English, Arabic, French, Spanish and German.
If you use Trakt
Link your account once and Moviepex keeps it in sync: what you watch is scrobbled, your
favourites go both ways, and your existing history is pulled in the first time so Continue
Watching and Recommended start from what you’ve already seen. There’s a Discover screen
with Trakt’s trending and popular lists matched against your own playlist, so you only see
what you can actually play, and the comments on a title show up right in its page.
Privacy and how I run it
Everything is over HTTPS, your provider login is stored encrypted, and I don’t run ads or
trackers. The privacy policy is at https://moviepex.com/privacy and it’s short. There’s a public
changelog at https://moviepex.com/changelog that I update with every release, so you can see what
changed and when. I answer support myself, on Telegram at https://t.me/moviepex or at
support@moviepex.com.
Price
Most of what you need every day is free, and there’s no credit card to enter. If you end up
liking the advanced features, the ones you won’t find elsewhere, they’re a very small price
through Google Play, and you can cancel any time.

I know this community doesn’t hand out praise easily unless app is actually deserve it but it will mean a lot to me if you guys liked it,
Try it with your own provider and tell me what’s wrong; I’ll fix it, and you’ll see the fix in the changelog.
