Entering the code in the site listed is much easier than the lengthy API key. That authorizes your device. Tx @JerryJ

So if you activate at the address given is that, in essence, logging into YT, or in this case SmartTube?

Yes. When you go to that URL, you will be shown a line to enter the code displayed. Enter it and you will get a device authorized notice. Then on the device that showed the code it will disappear and the app start.

I was thinking that due the “.be” portion of the address would be the apps log-in rather than Youtube’s actual site log-in.

I set up a burner account and now when I try to login to that account after I enter the code sent from google it tells me that the account has been disabled. Doesn’t give a reason says I need to appeal.
