I installed and set up Seren. It is working fine.
I added some movies and TV shows to me favorites, but haven’t found out how to actually see them
What am I missing?

So on the Kodi Home Screen if you scroll down the left side to favorites and click on it, they should populate there.
If they don’t show up, go back to your show title again and long press your select button (if using a Firestick), then select Favorites. Hit your back button a few times back to the Kodi Home Screen and scroll down and hover over favorites and click on it.

That is counterintuitive, but worked!
It has been a long time since I have used Kodi. I was looking in Seren, didn’t even think for looking elsewhere
