Ya I kinda figured that. Tx for the info. He’s pretty dedicated to making TG the best so I suspect he’ll be hard at it. He reads all the comments here on TP and works hard to resolve any issues, not just copying Tivimate like others are doing.
Another thing I have noticed is that after the latest updates and improvements the app now generates less cache over a days use than any other app and actually manages memory much better making it more useable now on lower speced devices.
Anything but perfect isn’t acceptable! Bear with me in discord guys not ignoring anyone all is seen and noted just one busy guy! Quite a big update coming soon which will hit beta first. Many behind the scenes updates and upgrades system wise. Which does need testing and it’s going to affect everything about the app. Although bad feedback is always going to be a thing and some things are janky the feedback is great and keeps updates coming.

@TiviGlass , I’ve been following all the talk and excitement about TiviGlass since it started here on Troy point, and gotta say it sounds impressive. I am just getting comfortable with Tivimate, so it’s been on the “when the moneyz rite list”, along with sum other items, but because you used the term ‘janky’ just now, TG has shifted to #1 on said list. Keep up the great job working on TiviGlass, and Please, get sum rest

Hi there - I just installed TiviGlass on my Firecube and it seems to work just fine for Movies, Shows, and TV from my provider. One problem I can’t get my head around, and which makes it unusable for me is that I cannot find the right combination of EPG settings to pare down the thousands of channels my provider has to just those I want to keep. I can hide all the foreign language channels fine, but beyond that other provider groupings are elusive. Additionally trying the remove provider prefixes to go with TG EPG categories just seems to make things worse. I do not need 'US Rodeo" channels, nor more than one or 2 “UK News” channels, and I certainly don’t want hundreds of empty “US Prime” channels… I know I can individually search them out and manually remove them - but I won’t live that long… The guide, and evidently Discord is silent on this and evidently I’ve missed something everyone else has found. Can you point me in the right direction? I’d really like to keep the App and see about moving my Stremio/Debrid stuff into it - but right now, I can’t see that happening. What am I missing?
Under Channels and guide. Manage TV groups. Delete any you don’t want to see. Also under channels and guide select the channels header, then Manage Channels. It’s all there ya just have to look at all the various sections then choose the header at the top for what you want to modify.for instance you click the Manage channels, then lets say you don’t want any of the big brother stuff, click big brother then you have lots of choices like hide all, show all, or show/hide specific channels. Also you can make your own group folders and just add the channels you want in there and never see the full playlist if you don’t want to. I have one for news and one for sports, and one for entertainment.
With all the updates that have been done I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to use this amazing IPTV app open up settings then go category by category, selecting header sections like Channels and Groups to actually see what options you have and what you can do to customize the player to your liking. Like me, as an example, I can remove “Kids and recordings” from the pop out panel as I never use them. It does take time and certainly isn’t a simple open and play app until you do configure it to your needs. But once you do it’s smooth, fast and amazingly efficient. Join the Discord server to ask questions, submit issues, talk to other TG lovers or just to see what is upcoming.The Dev is hands on and fully invested in resolving issues and adding features as requested.

Yet another new update and this one is huge. The Dev being dedicated to this new app has listened to all the concerns and yes complaints and has done a major overhaul. Give it a go and let him know what you think.

I’m told yet another update is on the way. Lol. Busy bee this Dev. Steady improvements. The above update is indeed huge and brings major changes and makes it easier to use.

This update also includes one of your biggest requests — the ability to move channels straight from search into a custom group.
At this point, I’m hoping the app should now be stable for the vast majority of users. There may still be the odd device or provider that behaves differently, but we’ve come a seriously long way.
I also wanted to share a bit about how TiviGlass actually started.
This was originally just a personal project. I never intended for it to go public.
I’ve been a software engineer for longer than I’d like to admit, and I got fed up with IPTV apps never quite working the way I wanted. So I took the leap and decided to build my own, purely for myself.
I ended up showing it to a friend, who convinced me that other people might actually want to use it too.
So I released it.
Within just two weeks, TiviGlass had grown to over 500 users.
Then I came across Troy and Miki, who somehow launched the project into another universe. Within around a week, we went from hundreds of users to nearly 10,000.
That huge influx of users uncovered so many issues
and since then, it’s been my mission to keep improving TiviGlass and turn it into the best app I possibly can.
As many of you have seen, I’ve been working endlessly on updates, fixes and improvements based directly on your feedback.
A massive thank you to Troy, Miki, the entire community, and every single person who has downloaded, tested, reported bugs, suggested features or supported the project.
I genuinely never expected TiviGlass to become what it has.
Thank you TG!!! We really appreciate how much effort you have put towards this goal. Just remember you are allowed to take a breath now and then and maybe even take a day off from posting an update. The last thing we want to see happen is burn out and that is quite common when you put your heart and soul into a project. Thanks again and have a great day.
