I had to go GOOGLE the difference between Xtream and M3U. Appears Xtream codes provides a better overall experience. Why did you put M3U in your example and why would somebody pick M3U over Xtream if they could use either? Thanks.
I think he just used the term M3U as pertaining to whichever type code you desire to enter. In Step 3 part 4 it states “Choose your preffered Connection Type - M3U or Xtreme Code”. I changed part 5 to read: “Input your URL and click continue.” This alleviates the confusion you mentioned. Troy has stated many times that Xtreme codes are easier to work with. I’m currently in the process of signing up to test it on an Android box Im setting up for my daughter. Also of note: I always make a printed copy of the tutorials I will probably be needing again (without all the pictures). I stash them in a notebook. Thanks @Reece you are exactly right. Xtream much easier to use as it takes less time than inputting M3U. Some IPTV services only offer M3U and don’t provide Xtream Codes but I believe there is a way to convert them to Xtream if you want to. Either way, it’s basically the same thing.

I guess I don’t understand why these developers keep developing player after player when there are already a ton of them on the market. Many of them really good. The player only gets “so good” and does all the stuff that the other players do. Perhaps I’m not insightful enough to appreciate each developers attempt to make the next “newer & better” player.

I dont understand how to get the m3u server code or the extreme code or what it means. Can anyone dumb this down for me?
The codes are obtained from the service that you buy your IPTV from. They are entered into the IPTV app you buy. If you become a patron then you could join the IPTV category and get hands on assistance as well as access to all the vids on how stuff gets done. For me it’s simple, but only because I’ve been a Troypoint member for a few years and watched the tutorials, read the threads and then asked questions.
You’re here and that’s a damn good place to start.

No matter what I do PiqoTV will not connect to any xtream code server url.
All the xtream codes I tried work perfectly in Tivimate, Smarters, etc.
I just noticed that my IP Smarters Pro was malfunctioning so I tried to set up PiqoTV. I tried AB’s IPTV and got a similar message as to what. IP Smarters said. Is AB’s IPTV down possibly?

Are you saying PiqoTV/IPsmarter’s Pro is working or Amber Baby Strong 8k is working?

I have been talking to the developer of this PiqoTV app & helping to address some of the issues that need addressed with it. It has been fun to talk to him about this app. It has promise, but it will surely take time to improve it. He has been asking me questions, thoughts, and overall needs of the app to help it work better. That coding is hard work, so it won’t happen overnight, but so far I am impressed. The last update really made the guide look sharp in translucent over the full screen view and the home page is looking pretty neat too. There will be a fix soon to get back to full screen when viewing the small upper right small screen playing, such as when you go in to settings then wish to get back to full screen of what has been playing. He told me the fix is in the works to get back to full screen without the current hard times to get it back to full screen.
