EXCELLENT! Didn’t know you had fiber to the house & your home was originally pre-wired. Sounds like you have a plan…when you figure out which outlet is nearest to your router…connect an ethernet jumper to an adapter & a coax jumper to the outlet…figure out which one it is in the attic, then that’ll connect to the IN port on your MoCA splitter & all the other cables can screw into all the OUT ports on the splitter…you will have then energized & MoCA-ized all the rooms & you can put adapters in all of them or just take one to whatever room you want…as all of the cable outlets will be on your MoCA network. Easy Peasy my friend
Nevermind on any numbers, seeing as tho you have a separate fiber setup…you’ll have plenty of signal.
These responses are funny, like this is a new concept. I was installing coaxial based networking back 40 years ago, then installing coaxial to twisted pair converters about 5 years later.
Excellent. Nice to see someone who has experience doing this. Would be nice if you had something positive to contribute. If you see any questions you have answers for, please feel free to contribute. Or maybe you’ve got some tricks up your sleeve you’d like to share.

New technology or not, it’s being discussed on the forum currently because a few members were looking for a solution to a problem and someone was kind enough to bring this to the fore. As the responses indicate, plenty of people find the info extremely helpful and interesting.
