It was cool
My wife and I thought that “Song Sung Blue” was great. Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman were excellent in their roles.
Neither of us are big Neil Diamond freaks, but the movie’s covers of his tunes were often improvements on the originals.
I hate movies that are overly long and I very rarely watch a movie more than once. These rules are out the window with Avatar: Fire and Ash. Didn’t feel long even though it was and loved the imagery, might even check it out again. ![]()

The good old days. The small town I grew up in had 3 drive ins with in a 5 minute bicycle ride. ![]()
yea, that sure brings back memories
Last movie I saw at a drive in was Heavy Metal ![]()
@PapaS I HATE long movies too and if it’s over 2 hours, I’ll usually pass.
If it’s a must see, I often treat it like a series, I’ll watch an hour or so at a time for 2-3-4 sessions. I works great on KODI and Stremio as they resume right where you left off.
I like the Avatar movies too. Much fun. Have not watched the newest nor the last movie of the Tom Cruise 2 parter that is escaping my brain at the moment. Eventually, I will.
Back in the day when my grandma was in the nursing home, we got her this tv/remote, but it must have been a newer color tv and the remote only had two mechanical buttons. Big oversight was that you had to have fingers of steel to click those buttons down.
Still a good movie especially if you enjoyed a certain substance(s). I think my last drive-in movie was the premier of Alien…blew me away.
I also saw that one in a Drive-In! I used to get the magazine too. Fun times.
Have not watched it yet, due to being a cam version. The beginning of The Bride! was an unexpected good introduction. Look forward to a good version soon.
An absolutely awesome movie thats an emotional rollercoaster of funny, empathy and anger etc..
Keep this going, I feel I am in a good group. Great suggestions from friends. ![]()
I enjoyed the Wrecking Crew.
It is “Young Women and the Sea”
@orchid1 That was a GREAT movie.
We were talking about “remakes” earlier. Here is one that would make a sensational remake, It’s so good. Michael Douglas does what many would like to do (none here on this board of course) but only fantasize. In fact, I admit to feelings like these regarding my streaming devices.
Watch the trailer for a refresher.
@GraceWilson , I’ve had dayz like that ![]()
