Moving forward I’m going to do more quick videos like this without audio because I can do them quickly and explain my steps in text.

> For S&G’s, I wanted to try Elementum on the TP Kodi 21.3 fork. After installing, it wouldn’t open, showing a message saying Elementum is starting, give it a few minutes…but it never opened. So, I uninstalled stalled the fork and reinstalled it. I noticed something that I might of missed. It was a very brief ‘Kodi failed to update’ flag. So I went to Settings-System-Logging, then selected Standard. From there I went to Events on that page and selected 'Enable event logging ’ and ‘Show event lo…

You will see that I tried to replicate this problem by installing Elementum into TROYPOINT Kodi Fork and I had same problems @elginherd had.

Updates were failing to process and dependent files weren’t installing.

1. I always try to close Kodi, re-open to see if that fixes problem. It didn’t.
2. I then try completely disabling Surfshark and bingo! Everything now installs and updates properly.
3. I then back out and connect to a different Surfshark VPN server close to my physical location for best speeds and everything now works. You can also try disconnecting current location and re-connecting as it will connect to a different server in that same location but I know that Omaha usually doesn’t have those problems for me.

Regarding @elginherd comment where it worked fine in regular Kodi and not Fork, a restart might have fixed his situation if he’s using same VPN connection.

Either way, I always suggest restarting Kodi if problems and then examine possible VPN issues if running one, change servers.
