I am an unapologetic Kodi-file. I’ve tried others and they just didn’t work for me. But all I ever stream are movies and old TV show that I missed due to a demanding work life. Anyhow…
Real-debrid was a game changer for me. I’ve been able to watch movies that would never show up without RD. Three dollars/month, for the RD account is beyond worth it to me. And the fact that I’m not paying some insane cost that I was paying through a cable provider is such a relief. My last cable provider payment was more than the cost of the Nvidia Shield Pro I just bought. And that was over 7 years ago.
And back to the original thread…YES! I always welcome Troy’s email. Whether they pertain to what I’m interested in or not. There are always interesting tidbits of knowledge that Troy includes. I really don’t feel that you could find a more valuable resource than Troy. And how much do you pay for this information? Not a dime. I can’t even begin to express how much I appreciate the Troypoint Advisor.
I’m concur - Syncler+ has always been rock solid and I like the UI more. While it does come at a cost, I’ve grown to appreciate it enough to maintain it as a primary while Stremio is contingency #1.
Free is always good, but at about $1.50/mo, Syncler+ has tremendous value.
I’ve had this issue of wrong title, but similar name, and tried to play that video. Now, when I see it (the wrong title) I move on. I do not have and have never had any Debrid subscription. It may be a function of Torrentio only. However, it’s real. It also occurs in the lower resolution choices. Every time I’ve seen it, the wrong title video is several years old or longer. If you’re not looking there, you’ll not see it.
Ahh could be in the lower res as I have anything below 720 turned off. A long time ago the Telesyncs and cams were like that and sometimes would pop up a Div-X codec download needed message. I stopped playing those gambling ad ones as well.
Same here as mentioned before. Caveat though is I won’t watch a cam movie, I will wait for a release. There has been some problems with buffering when there are few users on the stream but that would be the case anywhere. Sometimes, I just choose a lower resolution or smaller release as I know it will buffer less if I really want to see it. Still never seen an incorrect movie listed in the sources.
Stremio is my go-to app and Kodi/Crew is my backup. Torrentio (linked to Real-Debrid) is the only Stremio add-on I use. There have been a few instances when I was able to stream TV shows in Kodi before they dropped in Stremio. “Mountain Men” (airs on History Channel) is one such show. At less than $3 a month Real-Debrid is a no-brainer. Add 3 IPTV providers in TiviMate to the equation. Total monthly cost including SurfShark is around $30. Disconnected Dish Network a year ago. Our basic subscription with them was $85 a month. We’d been with them 23 years. They tried every trick in the book to keep us.
That’s about the same I pay CDN/mth and with my Cdn internet and TV we were paying $240/mth before I got into this hobby. and cell phones were another $120/mth.
There lies the power of negotiation and the waa waa waa of being a loyal customer and we deserve something for staying with you. Customer retention, not just lure the new ones. That being said, I have a bundled cable package still with R, Ignite TV with a good package, not entry, Unlimited Internet at 500 down, 30 up (As if anyone can give us 500 down) 3 pods and home telephone still for $104.99 before taxes, total $118.64. Not too shabby so I keep it. This is way cheaper than other customers.
That is a great price. The price I was quoting is from 15 yrs ago, so you can imagine the price today. Yhey didn’t give a damn about me staying, as s matter of fact they cut me off 3 weeks early and wouldn’t reconnect me or reimburse me either. I was a wreck after 3 weeks.
Nice SE! I began riding Wings in the early nineties on GL1200s. I rode a '95 Aspencade approx 18 years. Bought a new '13 GL1800 and rode it until I sold it a year ago. Wife got to the point that she could no longer ride and some of my buddies also had to give it up. Most of my trips on the 1800 were solo. Got tired of going alone. Rode the Blue Ridge Pkwy in October '22 (typically rode it end to end at least once a year). Realized on that trip that I just didn’t enjoy it like I used to. That, combined with a close call with a deer made me realize it was time to get out. Rode 31 years without going down a single time. I was blessed! I miss it a little but we have 3 grandkids now that occupy most of my spare time.
