Invest in equipment - Nvidia Shield and hardwire it to your router. This is the best experience IMHO

Went from $163/mo for TV/Internet with big telecom here in Toronto to $103/mo for IPTV ($40 Cdn for 5 connections) + $63 for 1 GB Internet. Have a 2nd service that I’m helping so he doesn’t charge me the $20/mo for 2 connections. Paid for Lifetime TiviMate ($36 Cdn) plus the same for app that allows me to pause/RW/FF Live TV. About the same for 6 mos. of RD. Lastly, $112 every 2 yrs for Nord VPN. I have a lifetime sub for another VPN so I’ll use that when NordVPN sub is up in '25.

I have a 2019 version of the Shield Pro ($260 Cdn) plus a BuzzTV x5 ($210 Cdn)

Cut the cord Dec. 08/21 for good & have never looked back. Sick of genuflecting every year trying to get a decent deal from my telecom - after being a loyal customer for over 30 years. Unfortunately, they forget loyalty is a 2 way street!!

The following are in CDN and for a year.
ISP $0 (supplied by landlord)
Tivimate $34 for lifetime
3 Subs with 5 Conns $610/yr
VPN $80/yr 7 devices
RD $46

Now not counting the lifetime TiViMate, my yearly expense for everything I need to stream is $736, and it use to cost me $3840/CDN/Yr. A nice little savings.

Internet - 600 mbs/30mbs download/upload/ 1200 gb data. $80 per mo.
Devices - 2 x $159 = $318

Hardwired LAN to both devices. Not cheap initially but streaming has been flawless with only $39.32 monthly outlay other than internet.

I forget what all those cost but we were paying nearly $300 a month for Fios cable service. I don’t think our annual cost for all those services and 19000 TV channels is anywhere near the monthly cost we were paying.
Throw in the price of a Good Verizon router/modem, a TP-link mesh system and an Nvidia shield Pro or two and we’re happy.

Rarely hear anything about Weyd in the forums anymore. I like the app, I think it is solid. I don’t like it more than Syncler+, but I do like it more than Stremio. Problem is, it is a paid app and Stremio isn’t so I use Stremio as backup to Syncler lol.
