I cannot open settings on my MS8-11 android box. I downloaded Amazon App Store so I could use Downloader and now my settings will not open.

I’m not familiar with that box but as it’s an android device, you should have downloaded or used the ay store from Google.
See if you can reset your device, unplug it leave it unplugged for a but turn it out and uninstall Amazon and get google, then Downloader.
