I picked door #3. I’m one of those “He who must have the remote” guys. Thanks for the design. - Bill ![]()
Testing out the new bling. I changed the D a little, how does it look on me? Thx @TXRon
How 'bout now? Lol
I think thats the coolest one ive made ![]()
It is Awesome. Now that stands out.
Love it.
Thanks Miki for all your rapid and to the point responses. I have been reluctant to get a Nividia Shield Pro because it is now 5 years old and only 3gb RAM. The Amazon fire stuff is 2gb RAM max. I have been “Waiting for Gadot” for a new shield which never comes. These new units with 8-16gb RAM must perform better (less buffering). Is that wrong-think?? I know the source servers and router-wifi or ethernet matter too.
The Shield, even though 5 years old still is one of the best performing and most reliable devices out there. As time has moved on, and because of such cpu and gpu cycle intensive APPs these days, I do believe that 4GBs of RAM will be needed to produce the smooth operation of all the devices peripherals as well as the APPs that we demand.
No I do not believe nVidia will be releasing a new device unless said device is AI focused. The new SK1 and ugoos seem to be the supplier of choice for many here. I know the ONN Pro for $50 is also welll recieved, but for my experienced need and demands, it falls far short of a device I would spend money on. I do hope to have the opportunity to set up and run a full test on the Buzz P6 one day. Until then I am happy with my Shield Pro. As for buffering, the unfortunate thing is, there are far to many variables to be able to definatively say that one thing or another is the cause.
Hi. I’m hoping I’m posting on the correct thread. Has anyone in the uk received their buzz p6 from kuul media as I paid for one at beginning of July and still not heard when it’s being sent out. Disappointed
They posted on FB to say orders are going out next week.
Thank you
Did you get yours? I ordered direct from BuzzTV on Monday and its just turned up!
I’m still waiting on kuul media details. Is it any good ?
Just arrived - but ended up being cheaper than Kuul with a discount code
Should have done the same pal. Thankyou for replying and let me know what you think ![]()
It’s massive next to the Z11 Pro! The box looks nice but is very plastic and feels hollow which is a shame.
Please keep us updated on your experience with the unit. Things like ease of use, App compatability. Connection speeds and so on. Enquiring minds want to know. Lol. And thankyou. Personally I am looking forward to any experience you have using the Buzz for IPTV and players like TiViMate, Kodi, Sparkle or what ever you use.
Looks a decent set up to be fair pal
24hrs in and the box is a hard pass right now. Comparing to my shield and Z11 pro. Box is hard wired to a 2gbit line.
I don’t really use official apps but BBC iPlayer is not available via app store.
Quitting apps sometimes makes the screen go black. No way to fix other than pulling the power.
Tried two IPTV providers in buzztv 6. One wouldn’t load the channels at all. The other works but has constant stream errors until it locks up entirely. Tivi mate on the P6 with the same provider seems fine so I can only assume it’s Buzztv 6 and not using it defeats one of the purposes if the box, having quick access to IPTV features. Tried the pairing feature where you can add details via your phone and doesn’t connect. I’ll probably see if I can find a 3rd provider over the weekend just to test further.
Box is set to auto resolution. Apps like Streamio seem locked to 30fps and won’t switch when content is 24fps as it does on the shield.
The box is super snappy and fast but it feels like solid hardware and beta software at this point. The box itself is very plastic and doesn’t say premium at all. Really not worth the money in it’s current state. Even if all the bugs get fixed, yes it’s faster than my shield but not sure it’s worth the money. The Z11 feels like a good IPTV focused box with software that works. I’ll update as I play more.
