I canât tell you much because I donât know much about them except that itâs been suggested here to try one if you are having problems. I believe you mentioned you have SurfShark and you can see it under âlocationsâ where it says Static. I scroll down to the US servers, or wherever your country of residence (we are an international group here!), and look for one that doesnât look as busy (the round circle shouldnât be full). Itâs worth a try anyway.
Do you mean a static IP address?
I think âcarlbsâ was referring to Surfsharkâs âStatic IPâ option, which he called a âstatic serverâ. I had forgotten that such was an optionâŠwill explore more to see if thatâs helpful or not in my use case.
I figured as much but thought I better ask.
@Lsredbird47 Thanks loads for this one! I have Xtreme HD & I was running the iptvport.net:25461 URL & it croaked the other day. I had some others & I did find one of those worked, but seeing this told me these are the go to URLâs. I have a service called Ramix, & the very first URL you put here is one of their 2 URLâs I have for them. I guess we now know who is keeping the Xtreme HD subs running.
Hijack (sorry) - I bought multiple Amber packages, due to each having one connection each. For the life of me, I canât get tivimate to record from any of them. I end up with a â1 minuteâ ghost with no recording. I figured I could use one package to watch tv while the other package is scheduled to record. Nope. Couldnât get it to work at all. Am I crazy or is this normal? Would love to be able to record games to watch later. ![]()

Thank you for the response. I looked through all of the screenshots and have followed these, but alas, still not working. I have an Onn 4k Pro and am using the internal storage to record. I have over 20gb of space, so thatâs not a problem for the short term. Bottom line, just doesnât work. Am wondering if another app would work? Sparkle maybe?
I have both players, Tivimate and Sparkle, and havenât had any problems with recording.
You can try a one month sub of sparkle for $1.49. For a small fee you get a 30 day test drive.
Maybe itâs the Onn 4k Pro box? Are you using an Amber subscription?
I have both players on a Mecool KM6, Onn 4K pro, and an AM9. All work.
My subs are Strong 8K (Amber) and Private Internet Access.
I have no idea why Tivimate is failing on your Onn 4K Pro in link
How did you add the storage? You may need to check the settings to see if you have set the recording folder correctly
we should continue this in the other thread

Common Issues with TiviMate on ONN 4K Pro
Recording Problems
Many users experience issues when trying to record with TiviMate on the ONN 4K Pro. Here are some common reasons and solutions:
-
Insufficient Storage: Ensure that your external USB drive has enough space and is formatted correctly (FAT32 is recommended for Fire TV devices). The maximum file size for FAT32 is 4GB, which can limit longer recordings.
-
Connection Limitations: TiviMate requires a separate connection for each recording. If you are watching a channel while trying to record, it may stop recording due to connection limits. Ensure you have multiple connections available from your IPTV provider.
-
Buffering Issues: Buffering can cause recordings to stop unexpectedly. This may be due to network instability or issues with the IPTV provider. A stable internet connection is crucial for uninterrupted recording.
Permissions and Settings
-
Folder Permissions: Make sure that TiviMate has the necessary permissions to access the external drive. You may need to set the recording folder path correctly in TiviMate settings.
-
System Picker: Some users have reported that the System Picker option may not work on newer ONN devices. This can affect the ability to set the recording folder properly.
Troubleshooting Steps
-
Check Storage: Verify that your external drive is properly connected and formatted.
-
Adjust Connections: Confirm that you have enough connections available for recording and viewing simultaneously.
-
Clear Cache: Regularly clear TiviMateâs cache to improve performance.
-
Reboot Devices: Restart your ONN device and router to refresh connections.
By addressing these common issues, you can improve your chances of successful recordings with TiviMate on the ONN 4K Pro.
Me neither. When I go to choose the recording folder through Tivimate, and then select âSystem Pickerâ I get this response back, âYou donât have an app that can do this.â
For now the folder is set to Storage/emulated/0/recordings which is what I have selected on the internal drive.
Yes, located next to âLOCATIONSâ. I didnât have tv/media device going so relied on the old nogginâŠwhich isnât always the most precise.
As an aside, I have heard here that you can get (and pay for) multiple connections if you ask Amber for this directly. So just one subscription with multiple connections.
Can you tell me which service has multiple streams that can be purchased for one subscription?
I think I heard any of Amberâs offerings. Strong for sure. Ask and ye shall receive.
Mega Ott from Amber has 3 connections
i just purchased from her last week after reading here about it, got my service and its running great, contacted her by alibaba and whatsapp
