Depends on the app, but usually Kodi or Stremio , as examples, will require access to all your files . ---

so now i am thinking i am going to switch to onn ( with all these changes coming with the fire device moving away from android interface itā€™s not worth the work anymore)ā€¦.thereā€™s is onn Android TV 4K UHD Streaming Device with Voice Remote Control & HDMI Cable on amazon for $ 88 is has 32 gb. is it worth it . I mean price wiseā€¦..the stick is $49.99 at my local walmart 2 1/2 drive.lol ---

I just loaded my 1st ONN box as a test and I am so impressed with it that I am sure that it will become my go to device. I donā€™t have great internet but my speeds with the Onn are twice what they were with my firestick. The remote is a little different but nothing earth shattering to get used to ---

I downloaded the cloner app for Cinema on my firestick and it didnā€™t seem to work. Once installed, the screen was stuck on the Cinema screen and wouldnā€™t go to the following screen for TV/Movie section. ---
